Moving Text Banner Animations in 30 Seconds
Yet another tutorial about moving text, only this time it involves banners, and multiple lines of text being animated. What I am going to do is show you how to get things started, how to animate the text, and leave the rest to you. Once you know how to use frames, and how to animate the text you can literally do almost anything with it. If you have any questions about this tutorial or would like to see my banner designs where I use moving text feel free to email me.

Step 1
The first step is to open a banner that you would like to use for this tutorial. I picked a basic banner design that I created for xxxtheaters For this example I used a banner that is 468x60, their is no need to use a banner that is this size, it just happens this is what I decided to use. Next what I did was cick on the frames property box and added new frames until I had 15 frames. It is important that you get the number of frames right. Then what I did was copied the first frames image(the banner) and pasted it into each individual frame. Now I have xxxtheaters image on each of my frames of the animation. Next what I did was clicked on the optimize property box and set it to animated gif, and set the resolution to websnap adaptive, with 32 colors. The reason for this is to make sure our final animation is not 50-60k in size. God knows how long that would take to load. The only other thing you need to check for this step is in the frames property window. At the very bottom left make sure that the looping is set to forever. That way our animation plays more then once.

Step 2
In this step we are going to add some text to our banner design and get it animated. It is VERY easy. If you read my tutorial on moving tex then you should know most of these steps already. If you did not, dont worry we will cover everything in this step. The first thing to do is select frame one and enter some text. For this example I entered some text over the girls and used yellow font. The yellow font stands out nicely and gives a nice contrast to the banner design. To animate the text we must first convert it to a symbol. Right click on the text, click on convert to symbol. Now you have it in symbol format. To animate it what we are going to do is right click on it again, select animate, and select animate selection. In the new window that comes up the only thing you need to change is the number of frames. Make sure that the number of frames is 5. Now when you look at your symbol you wll see 5 dots, one green dot which represents the start position, three blue dots which represent the frames, and one red dot that represents the final position. By clicking on the text symbol in the first frame you can change the start position. in this case I moved it up and to the right off of the banner. Then I selected the end position(the red dot) and moved it so that it would be centered amongst the girls. All of these changes were made on frame 1. Now if you click through the frames from 1 to 5 you will see the text move. The last thing to do is change the timer on frame 5 to 150. This will cause the text to stay on the scene for 1.5 seconds so you can read it. Try it out and see what you think. If for some reason you dont like the start position of the text, or the end position of the text, simply click on frame one and move either your start position(the green dot) or the end position(the red dot) to a better location that suits you.

Extra Notes
Now you are probably asking yourself, why the heck does the xxxtheaters banner have 15 frames? The reason for this is because I added even more moving text that came in from all angles. You can do this very easily, simply click on frame 6, and add your new text and repeat the steps, then click on frame 10 to add a third set of text. Easy as pie! You can easily do a moving text effect in literally seconds. Although time is needed to fine tune it and make it look really nice.
